So, what will the Medical Records Technician Terrestris do?
As the Medical Records Technician, you will provide administrative and technical support for medical records management, ensuring accurate data entry, timely document processing, regulatory compliance, and reliable information flow supporting Soldier medical readiness and case management operations. This position is contingent upon contract award.
What does a typical day look like for the Medical Records Technician?
You will:
  • Support Periodic Health Assessments and Soldier ReadinessProcessing events by organizing and managing required medical documentation.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining electronic case managementprofiles through accurate data entry and document uploads.
  • Compile and format monthly case status reports by organizing,validating, and tracking required data elements.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records to support compliance withIndividual Medical Readiness and deployment requirements.
  • Safeguard protected health information in accordance with HealthInsurance Portability and Accountability Act standards.
  • Enter and update medical and administrative data across requiredsystems, ensuring completeness and timeliness.
  • Assemble and reconcile documentation for Medical Evaluation Boardand Physical Evaluation Board processes.
  • Track documentation and maintain logs to support coordination withGovernment personnel and compliance monitoring.
  • Organize records to support consistent and accurate communicationefforts with Soldiers and stakeholders.
  • Compile data for profile management reporting and ensure timelysubmission support.
  • Log and forward medical documents within required timelines,ensuring proper routing to the Records Custodian.
  • Provide documentation support for monthly case reviews, ensuringrecords are complete, accurate, and accessible.

What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:
  • Authorization to work in the United States permanently withoutsponsorship.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Records Technician withVTARNG or similar entity.

We are extra impressed by folks with:
  • Medical records technician certification, such as the CertifiedElectronic Health Record Specialist (CEHRS).
  • Familiarity with DOD Medical Readiness Systems and Policies(MEDPROS, MEDCHART, eCase, AHLTA / MHS GENESIS).
  • Ability to execute processes in strict compliance with:
    • Army Medical Readiness Regulations (AR 40-501 - Standards ofMedical Fitness; AR 40-502 - Medical Readiness; AR 40-66 - Medical RecordAdministration and Healthcare Documentation; AR 40-35 - Health HazardAssessment Program).
    • Privacy & Information Protection Laws (HIPAA).
    • Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) / Physical Evaluation Board (PEB)processes.
