Purchasing Associate
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized
Purchasing Associate to join our procurement team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with data, maintaining accurate records, and supporting supply chain operations through administrative and transactional purchasing activities.
The Purchasing Associate will work closely with buyers and supply chain professionals to ensure purchasing information remains accurate, reports are completed on time, and procurement processes run efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update pricing information within ERP systems.
- Process date revisions and purchasing-related updates to support procurement activities.
- Run, distribute, and maintain purchasing and supply chain reports.
- Perform high-volume data entry with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies by partnering with vendors and internal departments.
- Review and compare data sets to identify inconsistencies, errors, and opportunities for correction.
- Provide administrative support to buyers and procurement team members.
- Assist with daily operational activities and reporting requirements.
- Follow established purchasing procedures and workflows to support procurement operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by ensuring data integrity and process compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Internship experience, entry-level experience, or at least 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, administrative support, data entry, or a related field.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Data formatting
- Basic formulas and functions
- VLOOKUP and/or XLOOKUP
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Epicor ERP or similar enterprise systems.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Previous experience with invoicing, accounts payable, purchase orders, or procurement administration.
- High-volume data entry experience.
- Exposure to purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management processes.
- Associate degree or coursework related to Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or Operations is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Elk River, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
