Student Records Processor

Major Function/Purpose of Position: Provides customer service and skilled academic records support in the Registrar's Office. Responsible for the performance of a variety of duties related to the accuracy, maintenance, security and validation of student records, which includes research as necessary.

Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Essential duties:

  • Provide customer service, phone coverage, backup to the front desk, and general information relating to academic forms, schedules, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update student records in Banner to include international and conditionally accepted student record updates.
  • Process academic forms such as status changes, record updates, change of field of study, and so forth.
  • Process electronic requests such as add/drop forms, withdrawal from the university requests, change of campus, and so forth.
  • Communicate with schools and departments to resolve student record concerns. 
  • Assist other staff at peak times and perform other duties as specified by direct supervisor or Registrar.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  • Data entry experience required
  • Banner experience preferred
  • Familiarity with basic research skills required
