Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Sales Representatives throughout the sales cycle, serving as the technical solution expert on client calls and meetings.
  • Customize and tailor presentations, proposals, and solution decks to address each prospective client's specific data center environment and needs.
  • Deliver presentations directly to clients and prospects, clearly articulating Sprout's service capabilities and value proposition.
  • Scope and design solutions covering physical decommissioning, EOL spares capacity management/harvest, and OEM/VAR RMA management.
  • Advise on logistics management for ITAD and spares, including chain-of-custody and secure transport considerations.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on server installation, TPM break/fix, hardware troubleshooting, and data wipe/destruction methodologies.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs and technical questionnaires with accurate, compelling, and compliant technical content.
  • Build trusted relationships with client technical stakeholders (data center managers, IT operations, procurement) to support deal progression.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are deliverable and priced appropriately.
  • Stay current on industry trends, OEM/VAR practices, and evolving data center hardware lifecycle standards.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience within a technology services company, OEM, or VAR.
  • Direct experience providing solutions to hyperscale DC operators and the tier below hyperscale
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with physical decommissioning of data center environments.
  • Experience with EOL spares capacity management and parts harvesting.
  • Working knowledge of OEM/VAR RMA management processes.
  • Experience with logistics management for ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) and spares.
  • Hands-on experience with server installation.
  • Experience performing TPM (Third-Party Maintenance) break/fix support.
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting skills across server, storage, and networking equipment.
  • Experience with secure data wipe and data destruction methods and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to external clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to customize and deliver presentations tailored to a specific audience.
  • Comfortable operating in a client-facing, sales-support capacity alongside quota-carrying Sales Reps.
  • Prior experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Consultant role.
  • Familiarity with data center relocation and lifecycle management projects.
  • Industry certifications related to data destruction, asset disposition, or hardware maintenance (e.g., NAID AAA, R2, e-Stewards).
  • Experience responding to formal RFP/RFI processes.
