About the role

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Social Media and Communications Intern to support our Social Media and Communications Manager. This role is ideal for a college student passionate about digital media, social media and communication strategy. You’ll play a key part researching, prepping, organizing, and contributing to both internal and external communication efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with drafting content for social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.).
  • Conduct research industry trends, competitors, and audience engagement.
  • Collaborate in preparing content calendars and organizing content within Sprout Social.
  • Support community management by monitoring comments and messages and flagging for response.
  • Generate basic social media and campaign performance reports using analytics tools.
  • Assist with internal communications via SharePoint, including posting announcements, news, updates, and team materials.
  • Contribute to influencer research and vetting using Tagger (e.g. identifying potential partners, gathering performance data.)
  • Capturing content during events for social media posts and internal communications.

Qualifications
  • Must have good organizational, teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and creative.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Education & Experience
  • Must currently be enrolled as a sophomore or higher in a bachelor’s degree program or in a Graduate-level degree program
  • Desired Major: Marketing
