Description

SSM is currently recruiting for a results-driven, motivated individual to lead the strategic and tactical implementation of SSM's Surveying and Data Capture business. As a member of our management team, responsibilities include setting the strategy and overseeing the execution of the department's business plan, staff management and development, operations, technology and business development.

Requirements

  • Expertise in directing and performing all aspects of acquiring, processing, analyzing and compiling data to prepare maps, plans, documents and deliverables for boundary surveys, topographic surveys, control and design surveys, subdivisions, records of survey, ALTA/ACSM surveys, lot line adjustments and easement acquisitions, court case expert testimony, other office surveying tasks and occasional field related tasks.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Surveying Technology.
  • PA Professional Land Surveyor (PLS).
  • Valid PA Driver's License required.
  • Proven track record of effective direction of and communication with field crews.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D 2018 for the complete preparation of all documents including, but not limited to, parcel maps and plans, record of surveys, subdivision mapping, ALTA/ACSM surveys, topographical surveys, legal descriptions, boundary resolution, etc.
  • Strong research skills and knowledge in boundary line determination and dispute resolution.
  • Knowledgeable in the function and use of Trimble instrumentation, GPS, robotic and traditional survey instruments and other PC-based software.
  • Knowledge of the use of High-Definition Scanning and Drone technology preferred.
  • Persistent, assertive, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
