Data Capture Technician (Part-Time, Field-Based)
Location: Austin, TX (Field work in and around Abilene, TX)
Onsite | Two-staged Video interview.
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Schedule: 1 weekday/week (Tuesdays or Thursdays required)
Hours: Half-day (2-3 hours/site visit)
Job Overview
We are hiring a Data Capture Technician to support reality capture and AI-driven data collection on active construction sites across Texas.
In this field-based role, you will operate 360-degree cameras and surveying equipment to capture high-quality site data used for computer vision, machine learning, and algorithmic analysis. This role is ideal for dependable, safety-conscious individuals who enjoy hands-on outdoor work and working with technology in real-world environments.
Immediate start required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate 360ยฐ cameras, reality capture tools, and surveying equipment on construction sites
  • Capture accurate, comprehensive site data following established workflows and methodologies
  • Document site conditions and clearly communicate progress to project teams
  • Follow all construction site safety protocols, including client- and site-specific guidelines
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to meet data capture requirements
  • Work on large-scale construction projects across Texas

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)
  • Availability for one full weekday per week (flexible hours; must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays)
  • Comfortable working outdoors on active construction sites in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to walk long distances and perform physical tasks throughout the day
  • Strong work ethic: dependable, punctual, detail-oriented
  • Clear communication skills and strong safety awareness
