What You Will Do:
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Gather and translate business, operational, programmatic, and stakeholder requirements into actionable analytics and reporting products.
  • Develop and optimize Power BI data models, semantic models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and performance-tuned reporting solutions.
  • Design and implement data transformation workflows using Power Query (M) and related extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) processes.
  • Conduct statistical, trend, and quantitative analyses to support program evaluation, operational decision-making, performance measurement, and reporting requirements.
  • Perform geospatial analysis and geographic visualization using Power BI mapping capabilities, GIS tools, and spatial datasets.
  • Analyze, profile, validate, and monitor data quality to ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with program leaders, technical teams, data stewards, and client stakeholders to define metrics, KPIs, reporting standards, and analytical approaches.
  • Support public health, healthcare, government, or mission-focused analytics initiatives through data-driven insights and visualization.
  • Leverage emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to enhance analytics workflows, reporting efficiency, data discovery, and decision support.
  • Develop technical documentation, data dictionaries, dashboard user guides, and reporting methodologies.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and analytical insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

What You Will Need:
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, data visualization, public health informatics, healthcare analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience designing, developing, and administering enterprise Power BI solutions.
  • Experience with:
    • Power BI Desktop
    • Power BI Service
    • DAX optimization and performance tuning
    • Power Query (M)
    • Data modeling and dimensional design
    • Row-level security
    • Deployment pipelines
    • Data gateway configuration
    • Enterprise reporting architecture
  • Experience leading stakeholder engagement sessions and translating business objectives into scalable analytical solutions.
  • Experience implementing data governance processes, reporting standards, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts and supporting analytical delivery teams.
  • Experience performing advanced statistical analyses and developing executive-level reporting products.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Geography/GIS, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AI-enabled analytics, generative AI, machine learning concepts, or intelligent automation.
  • Experience supporting federal health, public health, healthcare, or government programs.
  • Experience with public health informatics standards, data exchange, surveillance, epidemiology, or population health analytics.
  • Experience with GIS and geospatial analytics tools such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, or QGIS.
  • Experience with Python, R, SAS, SPSS, or other analytical/statistical programming tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based data and analytics platforms including: Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir Foundry, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric
  • Familiarity or experience with Power Platform technologies including: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power Virtual Agents
  • Familiarity with data integration, API connectivity, and enterprise data architectures.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI, AI governance, AI literacy, or AI implementation practices.
  • Microsoft certifications such as: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Experience supporting Agile project delivery environments.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$133,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
