Details:
BI /Tableau Analyst
Location: Mostly remote - Must be willing to come onsite 1 day/month (Houston TX)
Duration: 12 months

Job Description Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for supporting the company's demanding reporting needs. BI analyst provides analytic support to the various operational and executive teams. Responsibilities will include extracting, modeling, analyzing, and reporting on client data. This position will be responsible for the development, support, and delivery of data reporting solutions that support business performance metrics. In addition, this role will play a heavy role in the UI design of Tableau dashboards. Must demonstrate the eagerness and ability to learn and must work well in a team environment.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience with Integration Services (SSIS)
  • 5+ years of Tableau Development Experience
  • 5-7 years' experience in Data Analytics
  • Experience in creating complex dashboards and/or reports in Tableau/SSRS/Excel
  • Strong organization, time management and business process management skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of SQL
  • Strong level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills needed to communicate information, ideas, and processes to audiences from both business and IT functional roles across the organization
  • Self-starter with a desire to learn new skills and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for understanding business processes and workflows

Job Duties:
  • Design key metrics, standardized reports to aid in decisions and planning for business leaders, including metrics that support dashboards, scorecards, and organizational planning models and analysis
  • Analyze data for trends and prepare well-written, concise summaries related to key findings
  • Write TSQL to extract data out of the various systems
  • Work closely with company executives, management, end users, and technical team to ensure the data warehouse and related applications are aligned with current and future business requirements
  • Provide subject matter expertise for multiple projects concurrently through all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Design and build queries, reports, and dashboards using business intelligence tools adhering to established frameworks and standards
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment with multiple priorities/projects.
  • Bring structure to ambiguous business problems and recommend visualization solutions that can be easily interpreted by users
  • Follow, maintain and improve all documentation and procedures for report design and production
