Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Data Analyst with strong hands-on experience designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions.


Advanced Tableau expertise is mandatory for this role. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently owning the complete Tableau dashboard development lifecycle, from gathering business requirements and preparing data through dashboard development, testing, publishing, optimization, deployment, and ongoing support.


The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server and/or Tableau Cloud, along with strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Python for data analysis, data preparation, validation, cleaning, and automation.


This role requires someone who can translate complex business requirements into intuitive, actionable, and executive-ready visual analytics while working closely with stakeholders to understand KPIs, reporting requirements, and business objectives.


Key Responsibilities


* Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visual analytics solutions.

* Translate complex business requirements into clear, meaningful, intuitive, and user-friendly Tableau dashboards.

* Build Tableau worksheets, dashboards, stories, and reusable reporting templates.

* Develop advanced Tableau calculations, including Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, table calculations, parameters, sets, groups, bins, date calculations, and dynamic filters.

* Develop dashboard actions, including filter actions, highlight actions, navigation actions, and parameter actions.

* Connect Tableau to multiple data sources, including relational databases, cloud data platforms, Excel files, APIs, and flat files.

* Build and manage data extracts, live connections, joins, relationships, unions, and data blending.

* Publish dashboards and data sources to Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.

* Manage Tableau workbooks, projects, permissions, schedules, subscriptions, and refresh jobs.

* Monitor and troubleshoot failed extract refreshes, data-connection issues, workbook problems, and dashboard errors.

* Optimize Tableau dashboard performance by improving queries, extracts, filters, calculations, data models, and workbook design.

* Apply dashboard design and data-visualization best practices to create clean, consistent, accessible, and business-friendly visualizations.

* Implement row-level security and user-based filtering when required.

* Perform dashboard testing, data validation, and reconciliation before releasing reports to end users.

* Maintain existing Tableau dashboards and enhance them based on stakeholder and business-user feedback.

* Work closely with business users and stakeholders to understand KPIs, reporting needs, analytical requirements, and business objectives.

* Provide Tableau training, documentation, troubleshooting, and support to business users when required.

* Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, aggregate, reconcile, and validate data used in Tableau dashboards.

* Use Python for data cleaning, automation, exploratory analysis, validation, and preparation of datasets.

* Independently gather reporting requirements and convert business needs into scalable Tableau reporting solutions.

* Familiarity with ETL processes and data-warehouse concepts.
