Job description

Behavior Analyst Trainee (BAT)/RBT

Cardinal Pediatric Therapies is seeking dedicated team members who want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children while continuing to grow professionally in the field of behavior analysis.

As a Behavior Analyst Trainee (BAT)/RBT on our team, you will work directly with clients while accruing supervised fieldwork hours toward BCBA certification. Your positive, empathetic approach and creativity will make you a valued member of our clinical team, and each day you’ll find new ways to engage children in sessions that are both purposeful and rewarding.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior plans designed by a BCBA.

  • Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to ensure accurate tracking and reporting

  • Support skill development in communication, social interaction, and daily living for clients.

  • Adhere to RBT ethics and the BACB code of conduct while implementing therapy sessions.

  • Collaborate with families and other team members to provide consistent and effective support for clients.

  • Ensure a safe, supportive environment during sessions and follow all ethical guidelines and protocols.

  • Accrue supervised fieldwork hours and receive mentorship tailored to your professional goals.

  • Maintain your RBT credential in good standing and track supervised fieldwork hours.

Position Qualifications:

  • Active RBT certification or eligibility and willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in a related field of study.

  • Currently enrolled in, accepted into, or completed a BACB-recognized master’s program in behavior analysis (ABAI Accredited, ABAI Recognized, or VCS) (required for accruing BCBA fieldwork hours).

  • Compassion, patience, and genuine enthusiasm for helping children grow.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain.

  • Ability to pass a background and abuse registry check.

  • Reliable transportation.

  • A Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required, depending on location.
