Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Summer Intern to support our Billing and Private Investment Reporting teams. This role offers hands-on experience working with billing data, system processes, and reporting workflows within a wealth management environment. Over the course of the internship, you will play a key role in analyzing and validating billing data, helping ensure accuracy and consistency across client accounts. You’ll also contribute to system enhancements, data cleanup initiatives, and process improvements that directly impact firm-wide operations. In addition, you’ll gain exposure to private investment reporting and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data integrity and reporting accuracy. This is a great opportunity for students interested in data analysis, finance, or operations to develop practical skills while working on meaningful, high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support billing data analysis initiatives by reviewing, validating, and interpreting data within Addepar to improve accuracy and consistency across client accounts
  • Assist in the migration of billing attributes from the position level to the account level, including validating data within the Addepar sandbox environment and supporting post-migration reconciliation
  • Support the cleanup and decommissioning of legacy billing attributes (e.g., Fee Schedule Legacy, Billable Account), ensuring consistency across fee schedules and account structures
  • Identify and help resolve data inconsistencies while contributing to the retirement of outdated fields and processes
  • Provide lift-out support by reviewing client agreements, fee schedules, and billing-related attributes entered into Addepar
  • Partner with the Private Investment Reporting team to gain exposure to private asset reporting processes
  • Assist with data validation and initiatives aimed at improving reporting accuracy and consistency
  • Participate in intern programming including lunch & learns and networking opportunities

Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior status pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Resourceful, proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

What We Offer:

Cresset offers a competitive compensation package for the Internship Program.  We also offer an opportunity to work in the wealth management environment allowing you to understand the industry and determine if it is the right step for you in your future endeavors.  The program includes learning and development activities to give you broader exposure to the company and networking opportunities.
