Summary:
As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand current and future enterprise data and information needs, then assist in the design, documentation, and care of solutions. Working in a collaborative organization, you will have significant influence to mature the efficiency, performance, scalability, security, and privacy of our business and technology environment. This is an exciting time for the industry and ABC Supply. You will help lead and define how enterprise data is managed, governed, and delivered as a strategic business asset and product.
This role serves as the steward of enterprise information assets, ensuring data is trusted, governed, secure, and aligned to business outcomes.
What You Do:
This role works in partnership with business and technology teams to establish governance, direction, standards, and accountability for the following enterprise capabilities:
  • Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance Standards
  • Enterprise Data Architecture and Models
  • Metadata, Taxonomy, and Lineage Architecture
  • AI-Ready Data Foundations

You will serve as the enterprise steward for data architecture and information management, partnering with value streams to establish standards, guide decision making, and drive successful business outcomes through trusted data.
Responsibilities:
  • Define and evolve enterprise data strategy, architecture roadmaps, governance frameworks, standards, patterns, reference architectures, and implementation guardrails that support business objectives, scalability, security, compliance, and long-term sustainability.
  • Provide enterprise data architecture leadership across strategic initiatives, programs, and projects, ensuring alignment between business priorities, technology investments, and information outcomes.
  • Establish and promote data product, ownership, stewardship, and data contract practices that make enterprise data assets documented, discoverable, reusable, governed, and consumable across value streams.
  • Lead enterprise information architecture, including data modeling, data mapping, master data, metadata management, semantic modeling, business glossary, data lineage, and catalog capabilities to improve consistency, interoperability, quality, and discoverability.
  • Enable secure self-service access to trusted enterprise data through governance, metadata, semantic models, reusable data products, and data quality practices that support analytics, reporting, machine learning, Copilot, and AI-driven business capabilities.
  • Partner with executive leadership, governance councils, data owners, stewards, and architecture review boards to establish accountability, align information priorities, and drive business outcomes through effective data management.
  • Evaluate emerging data, analytics, governance, and AI technologies while driving continuous improvement through automation, observability, policy-driven governance, and modern architecture practices that improve reliability, transparency, and operational efficiency.

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, information management, or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years leading enterprise data strategy, governance, and architecture initiatives.
  • Experience defining enterprise data domains, master data management, data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, and stewardship capabilities.
  • Experience supporting enterprise platforms and business capabilities, including ERP, CRM, analytics, and AI initiatives.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, modern data architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, financial systems, and operational data domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence business and technology stakeholders.
