Job description

IXL Learning is looking for a passionate Digital Marketing Analyst to join our digital advertising team. In this role, you will help build and manage ad campaigns for the top brands in edtech, including IXL, Rosetta Stone, Education.com, and TPT. You'll report directly to the Director of Digital Advertising and collaborate closely with a small team of analysts to craft, launch, measure, and optimize all of our ads. You'll balance your time between the creative and quantitative, writing copy and managing graphic design cases but also analyzing and presenting data. This is a rare opportunity to quickly get hands-on, build skills, and play a meaningful role in connecting learners around the world with truly impactful edtech tools. #LI-CC1
We're looking for new talent with strong potential. Our ideal candidate is a gifted writer, a pro at Excel and Google Sheets, extremely detail-oriented, and naturally curious about advertising, consumer psychology, and the ways technology is transforming how students learn. Bring your creativity and analytical skills and we'll support your growth with on-the-job training and mentorship.
This position requires you to be in our San Mateo, CA, headquarters office.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Building and monitoring ad campaigns in Google, Bing, Facebook, TikTok, and more digital advertising platforms
  • Analyzing performance data to help us hone our strategy
  • Writing clear, effective ads for diverse audiences across all of IXL's brands
  • Designing and implementing tests to help us understand what kinds of copy, landing pages, audiences, and other factors make a clear impact on ad performance
  • Participating in team brainstorms for new campaign creative
  • Collaborating with our graphic design team to produce engaging creative
  • Meeting regularly with marketing team leaders for input on your work
  • Presenting your findings to other marketing and product team team members
  • Owning campaign strategy as you gain experience, taking the lead on choosing what projects to invest in and where to scale back
  • Thinking strategically about every detail and how it will impact performance, from the length of a YouTube video to the exact wording we use to pitch a new AI tool to the way a piece of influencer content may seem native to Instagram but not native to TikTok
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • BA/BS degree with some experience in SEM, marketing, or data analysis
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Intuition for marketing, someone who loves thinking about what gets a concept to really click for a consumer

The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,300 to $75,000 + benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
