Job description

General Summary

Serves as a strategic liaison among multidisciplinary stakeholders, including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, procedural nursing teams, executive leadership, and supply chain professionals. Leads and coordinates complex projects involving clinical product evaluations, technology assessments, outcomes analysis, and value-based decision-making across the Heart & Vascular Service Line and other clinical categories as needed.

The ideal candidate brings experience in cardiovascular procedural environments, such as the cardiac catheterization laboratory, electrophysiology laboratory, structural heart, or cardiovascular operating room settings, with a strong understanding of the clinical, operational, and financial factors that influence product utilization, physician adoption, patient outcomes, and overall value.

Administers and coordinates programs, projects, and improvement initiatives while serving as a key partner to clinicians, executive leaders, and supply chain teams. This position plays a critical role in advancing patient care, safety, and outcomes through data-driven decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and the strategic evaluation, validation, and implementation of clinical products, technologies, and practice innovations. The role supports evidence-based value analysis decisions that optimize patient outcomes while balancing clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and financial stewardship.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Masters Degree Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 3 years In a clinical healthcare setting. Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required or
  • Registered Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, spreadsheet and other software programs.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment and discretion.

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates the oversight and management of assigned initiatives. Ensures that all project plans are developed and executed using methodology consistent with System performance improvement and Value Analysis methodology.
  • Monitors and maintains records of VAT initiatives including all product reviews, trials and evaluations.
  • Serves as a liaison and clinical resource between Hospital/System administration, departments and clinical staff to ensure cost effective utilization of products, services and processes including, but not limited to, surgical supplies, capital equipment, technology and process related activities.
  • Leads Value Analysis Monthly Team meetings. Participates or leads sub-groups of the VATs.
  • Oversees the acquisition and implementation of newly approved products to include communication to all involved departments and/or facilities
  • Will complete review of requested products which will include review of literature, search of federal databases, and search for any alerts and recalls.
  • Leads system trials of new products. . Collects and analyzes data from the trials.
  • Monitors patient outcomes for different initiatives when indicated.
  • Interacts with all appropriate system wide department managers to assist with data collection, analysis, implementation, monitoring and follow-up with assigned projects.
  • Maintains regular contact with all staff levels: clinical, administrative, professional and support.
  • Assists in managing substitutes for back ordered items, customer complaints or problems with products.
  • Promotes cooperation and communication among all team members. Knowledgeable regarding conflict resolution and effective communication. Mentors others.
  • Administers/coordinates programs, projects and/or processes within the Supply Chain as assigned.
