Job Purpose
National Grid is seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our Protection, Control, Metering & Telecom Engineering (PCMT) Department in Syracuse, NY. The PCMT team plays a critical role in designing and supporting the digital technologies that enable the reliable operation of New York's electric grid.This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering, analytics, and business operations, supporting innovative projects that directly contribute to the modernization of our energy infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering professionals, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders while gaining exposure to critical utility operations and emerging technologies.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support interface and process with consulting firms performing engineering services.
  • Track MSA deliverables and performances related to bid awards.
  • Manage bid events
  • Support the National Grid team as well as the contractors with the process and working with our procurement teams.
  • Support Protection, Control, Metering and Telecom material ordering.
  • Responsible for invoice payment and confirmations.
  • Perform administrative tasks in ProjectWise document and workflow manager
  • Monitor training completion for all of PCM&T to maintain compliance
  • Monitor and review documentation of staff for quality control and procedure compliance.
  • Prepare and write relevant documentation on performance metrics or department statistics and present or assist in assembling presentations to demonstrate findings.
  • Responsible for reconciling group purchasing card purchases and expenses.
  • Maintain and update the groups master documents such as org charts, seating charts and the entire PCM&T group personnel log. Manage Business Continuity Plan.
  • Assisting managers in the onboarding process of new employees by assisting with ordering and setting up laptops and accessories, supplying Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire-resistant clothes as well as any other supply needs.
  • Manage the teams office area

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering or similar discipline with a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience OR an Associate's degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering or similar discipline with a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and methods is required.
  • Knowledge of protection, control, metering and telecom materials is preferred.
  • Proficient in relevant software (i.e. Excel, Word, SAP, Cascade) and query tools is preferred.
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to work independently or in groups to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document, organize and verify data and conduct independent analysis to identify inconsistencies.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally to the organization.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history.

Salary: $114,000 - $133,00 per year
