Children's Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst III to support enterprise-wide information management initiatives and drive data-informed decision-making across clinical and operational teams. This role partners with leaders and stakeholders to deliver advanced analytics, develop performance intelligence tools, and lead strategic projects that enhance organizational outcomes and patient care.
Location: Remote, with a preference for local candidates near Milwaukee for occasional onsite meetings.
What you will do:
This customer facing position will support information management initiatives at CW. The Data Analyst III will work independently with various groups, leaders and enterprise performance management teams across the enterprise. The Analyst will carry out data analysis, assist in measurement science and participate in the development of performance intelligence tools. In addition, this role may lead a team of analysts for large projects. This analyst will develop projects in response to leadership needs, and will identify new opportunities in line with the strategic objectives of the enterprise.
Essential Functions
  • Provides analytical support and translation of data for leaders within CHW for the purposes of effective decision making and improvement activities.
  • Provides expertise in measurement development to monitor and measure operational and clinical outcomes.
  • Assists with the development of analytical products to support leadership in strategic decision making and ongoing optimization of organizational performance.
  • Develop proof on concepts applications to help inform development opportunities and support organizational initiatives.
  • Along with the acquisition and use of data to meet organizational objectives, provides mentorship to team members of programming and querying expertise.
  • Remains trained and compliant with CHW data governance standards and change control methodology.
  • Recommends changes and enhancements as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with customers to meet data reporting requirements including but not limited to:
    • Encourage the utilization of data-driven performance and improvement activities.
    • Ensure consistency in reporting and underlying indicator definitions.
    • Leverage various techniques and visualization to display data in an effective manner.
    • Identify and recommend innovative processes to enhance functionality, promote process replication and increase reliability of reporting.
    • Communicate issues relating to data retrieval and provide recommendations for changes.
    • Analyze and interpret data with leaders, content experts, and clinical staff as appropriate
    • Assists with improvement work related to data integrity, reliability and validity.
    • Assists stakeholders in the development of performance measures, dashboards and other measures.
  • Analyzes reports from Epic, PHIS, Decision Support, Midas CCHP, and other sources containing data related to CHW activities as appropriate.
  • Knowledgeable of data warehousing tools and concepts related to creation of source marts and subject area marts, preferred.
  • Serves as a liaison for clinical programs, medical leaders, senior leaders and IMS regarding data standards and requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree, Certifications, or Apprenticeship, in a related field preferred (or equivalent knowledge)
  • Minimum of+ 5 years related experience in data analysis, healthcare preferred
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and other data analysis concepts, including but not limited to confidence limits, statistical testing, data modeling and forecasting.
  • Exhibits the aptitude in the following Lominger Competencies: Decision Quality, Business Insights, Communicates Effectively, Ensures Accountability, and, Action Oriented
  • Requires proficiency in SQL coding.
  • Knowledge of Epic Clarity and Business Intelligence strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in the evaluation of data integrity and its associated improvement work as well as senior executive reporting.
  • Advanced communication skills and the ability to effectively work with physicians, nurses and administrators. The ability to translate clinical requirements to data querying logic.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with multiple departments and external organizations.
