Job Description Data Center Business Analyst Location: Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), TX Work Model: Onsite / In Person Travel: Required within DFW-area data center facilities as needed Position Overview The Data Center Business Analyst will support data center projects, infrastructure initiatives, and day-to-day operations by gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, managing project documentation, tracking financials and KPIs, and supporting project execution. This role will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Operations, Facilities, Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes, enhance operational visibility, and support data center resilience and continuity initiatives. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, technical, and non-functional requirements.

Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions and deliverables. Create and maintain project documentation, process flows, MOPs, release plans, and related materials. Support project planning, scope management, scheduling, status reporting, and overall project coordination.

Create and manage JIRA stories, tasks, action items, and project follow-ups. Maintain project and operational documentation using Confluence and Microsoft Office tools. Develop dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics to support project and operational decision-making.

Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and operational improvement. Support Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools, reporting, and data analysis. Assist with project financial tracking, forecasting, budget monitoring, and reporting.

Support Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and operational resiliency initiatives. Assist with Black Start readiness activities, including recovery documentation, dependency mapping, and tabletop exercises. Prepare meeting agendas and minutes, track action items, and coordinate follow-ups across multiple teams.

Work with cross-functional stakeholders to support project execution and operational readiness. Travel to data center facilities throughout the DFW area as required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

3+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting data center, infrastructure, technology, or similar projects. Experience working with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools. Strong experience with JIRA and Confluence.

Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated experience gathering requirements and translating them into functional or technical deliverables. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate across multiple technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, operational resilience, or Black Start initiatives. Understanding of critical data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, capacity management, and facility operations. Experience with data center project financial tracking and forecasting.

Experience developing operational dashboards, KPI reporting, and performance metrics. Familiarity with data center processes, infrastructure operations, and technology project lifecycles.
