Who We're Looking For

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is looking for highly motivated Managers for various open roles across our Analytics group that will lead teams of analysts that will directly report to them and whose purpose is to find actionable analytical insights, to effectively tell the story supported by data, and ultimately to provide tangible business value by leveraging data and business knowledge to influence data-driven business decisions. This role exists to help our organization solve its largest business questions and issues, improve customer experience, and increase profitability through data-driven methods.

This position is based at the Toyota Headquarters in Plano, TX with an expectation to be onsite 2-3 days per week.

Enterprise Reporting & Analytics

  • The Enterprise Reporting & Analytics team transforms complex datasets into something understandable and actionable.

  • This team creates informative visualizations and presentations that communicate results to all levels of the company.

  • Partner with Service Operations and other groups to deliver descriptive analytics through dashboards, reports and bespoke data visualizations.

  • Deliver insights on process performance, trends, and performance management metrics.

  • Use Tableau, SQL, and Python to translate business needs into clear, scalable reporting solutions that can support both current priorities and future company initiatives.

  • In addition to the general requirements listed below in the What You Bring section, this specific Manager role is ideal forsomeone who is proficient in SQL and Python and approaches problem-solving with curiosity, imagination and the passion to share insights.

Whatyou'llbedoing

  • Begin leading analytical initiatives asked for by the business as well as ones created organically and proactively via data exploration

  • Along with leadership, develop Analysts by guiding their data consuming skills, data interpretation and analysis skills, and data storytelling skills (Powerpoint, Tableau/Looker, verbal, written)

  • With leadership support, begin influencing executives with recommended actions based on your team's insights by effectively telling the story that is supported by data through presentations (Powerpoint), data visualizations (Tableau, Power BI), and clear and concise verbal and written communications skills

  • Work closely with various business leaders and stakeholders to uncover their business needs and the true questions that the company is trying to answer

  • Use coding skills to get the data needed for your team's analyses

  • Apply your arsenal of creative problem-solving and quantitative analytical skills, including statistical methods, to connect the dots and find the insight buried in the data

  • Assess the quantitative and qualitative impacts of possible actions based on discovered insights, taking into consideration our customers, our employees, and our company

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across Toyota such as Sales, Marketing, Servicing, Insurance, Risk, Technology, Legal/Compliance, Finance, Treasury, Commercial Lending, etc.

  • Become a subject matter expert for one or more business areas and their strategies, processes, policies, etc to have a holistic approach to analysis and insight generation

  • Guide, mentor, and train analysts on best practices for analysis and data story-telling

  • Organically and proactively find insights through data exploration and business knowledge even without stakeholders explicitly asking for it

  • Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in any field with an emphasis on quantitative analysis including Business Analytics, Information Science, Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Marketing, Consumer Insights or closely related field / STEM degree

  • 5+ years of equivalent and relevant work experience

  • Prior experience leading analytical teamsor leading large initiatives with indirect leadership to other Analysts

  • Experience developing, training and motivating a team of Analysts

  • SQL skills (certain Analytics teams also use Python). Coding testing will be conducted in the interview process

  • Experience using creative and quantitative problem-solving skills

  • Experience proposing strategic recommendations to management and clearly articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Basic statistics knowledge

Added bonus if you have

  • MBA or Master's degree in an analytical field

  • Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure, modeling and/or analytics projects

  • Auto Financing, Consumer Lending and/or Financial Services experience
