Role Summary
MetaPhase is seeking a Data Analyst to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) through data-driven analysis, reporting, and operational insights. This role will support mission and business operations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to identify trends, improve processes, and inform executive decision-making.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable translating technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. MetaPhase is seeking a polished, proactive professional with at least three years of relevant experience who is ready to make an immediate impact on our high-performing team!
What You Will Be Doing
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Collect, analyze, validate, and interpret structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to support operational and strategic initiatives
    • Develop recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate trends, performance metrics, and key findings
    • Identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and process gaps and recommend corrective actions or process improvements
    • Translate complex analytical findings into concise, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders
  • Operational Support
    • Support program and operational decision-making through quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Assist with data calls, executive briefings, and reporting requirements with accuracy and timeliness
    • Monitor performance metrics and develop recommendations to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Data Management & Process Improvement
    • Maintain data integrity through quality assurance reviews, validation processes, and documentation standards
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes, workflows, and data governance practices
    • Develop SOPs, templates, and documentation to standardize reporting and analytical processes
What We Need From You (Required)
  • A minimum of three plus years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or related analytical support roles
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, statistics, information systems, or a related field
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and presenting findings to executive or operational stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and visualization tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Active DHS Public Trust Clearance
  • Experience supporting DHS or CBP programs
  • Experience working in a federal consulting environment
