Team Overview

The Alternative Data team within Data Acquisition Services is responsible for supporting and managing TransUnion's alternative data ecosystem, ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of data sources and furnishers used across the organization. This team partners closely with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate, compliant, and high-quality data solutions that support TransUnion's business objectives. This role reports to Director of Data Integration. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

  • Support TransUnion's Alternative Data operations and day-to-day business functions.
  • Monitor the performance, health, quality, and integrity of Alternative Data Sources and Furnishers.
  • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for issues related to alternative data sources.
  • Investigate customer issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.
  • Partner with customers to audit reported data and ensure accurate, timely updates.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by managing escalations and resolving operational challenges.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders through proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Anticipate customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions that improve operational outcomes.
  • Support customer integration projects and work across teams to ensure successful implementation of data solutions.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience with 5+ years in customer-facing, operations, reporting management, or related roles.
  • Experience supporting customer integration projects and managing stakeholder relationships in a service-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of banking, retail credit, consumer credit reporting, or related regulated industries.
  • Experience analyzing operational issues, identifying root causes, and implementing preventative solutions.

Required Technical Skills

  • Salesforce CRM experience for customer and operational management.
  • Metro 2 credit reporting knowledge and experience.
  • Power BI and/or Tableau for reporting, dashboarding, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills with the ability to evaluate data quality and operational performance.
  • Proficiency using reporting tools, data management systems, and business applications to support operational processes.
