The Senior Accreditation Specialist leads the organization's accreditation and regulatory compliance program, ensuring continuous survey readiness and adherence to DNV/NIAHO, state, and federal standards. Serving as the primary liaison with accreditation and regulatory agencies, this role partners with leaders across the organization to drive compliance through policy development, audits, staff education, mock surveys, and performance improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who excels at translating complex regulatory requirements into practical processes that support quality, patient safety, and operational excellence.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- 4-6 years of relevant healthcare regulatory/compliance experience, including 2-3 years of direct accreditation or regulatory survey experience.
- Direct experience with DNV/NIAHO accreditation standards and survey process strongly preferred; candidates with comparable hospital accreditation experience (e.g., other national accrediting bodies) and the ability to transition to the DNV framework will also be considered.
- Experience with Montana state licensing/survey processes, or other state regulatory survey experience, preferred.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree required (healthcare administration, business, nursing, or related field).
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY:
- CHOP (Certified Healthcare Operations Professional or organization-equivalent credential)
- CHIP (Certified Healthcare Improvement Professional or organization-equivalent credential)
