Senior Network & Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Network & Systems Administrator to join our Enterprise Technology team. This position reports directly to the Manager, Network & Systems Operations. What You Will Do:

  • Execute operational priorities established by the Manager, Network & Systems Operations to maintain reliable infrastructure performance
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex network, systems, and security incidents
  • Administer and support Cisco networking environments including routing, switching, and UCS FlexPod infrastructure
  • Manage VMware ESXi and vSphere virtualization platforms supporting production workloads
  • Administer Windows Server Environment 2012R2 through 2025 and Active Directory services
  • Maintain and optimize NetApp storage platforms including replication, monitoring, and lifecycle management
  • Support Microsoft 365 services and hybrid identity architecture including Entra ID
  • Administer Palo Alto firewalls and enforce network security controls
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison to the Managed Security Services Provider and SOC
  • Review, validate, and coordinate response to security alerts, incidents, and vulnerability findings
  • Execute patch management, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation activities
  • Support disaster recovery readiness including backup validation and DRaaS testing
  • Implement approved infrastructure changes in accordance with established change management standards
  • Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures
  • Participate in on call rotation and provide support during game days and major events
  • Promote knowledge sharing and technical cross training within Network & Systems Operations to strengthen team capability and resiliency

What We Need From Our Senior Network & Systems Administrator:

  • Advanced hands on experience administering enterprise Cisco networking environments
  • Strong experience supporting VMware ESXi and vSphere production environments
  • Experience managing Windows Server and Active Directory in a multi site environment
  • Experience supporting NetApp storage systems
  • Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls and network security platforms
  • Experience working directly with Managed Security Services Providers or SOC teams
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals including incident response and vulnerability management
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and hybrid identity environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities
  • Ability to operate independently while aligning with leadership direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience/ Education Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
  • Minimum five years of progressive systems and network administration experience in a multi site or enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Cisco networking, VMware, NetApp, Palo Alto, and enterprise security operations
  • Professional certifications such as VCP, CCNP, PCNSE, Microsoft, Security+, or related certifications preferred
