About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager for the Great Lakes is responsible for driving revenue growth across a multi-state territory. This role focuses on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and positioning APCON solutions with clarity and confidence.

This is a high impact individual contributor role that requires someone who is self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while managing a large territory and frequent travel.

Great Lakes Sales Territory: IN, MI, OH

Travel: Up to 75%

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a territory strategy that aligns with APCON growth goals
  • Identify, qualify, and close new enterprise and channel business opportunities
  • Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, discovery, demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, and close
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and technical decision makers
  • Work with Sales Engineering to deliver effective demonstrations and solution designs
  • Represent APCON at regional events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales documentation
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Support to ensure a positive customer experience

What You Bring

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three or more years of outside sales experience selling technical hardware and software solutions to large enterprises
  • Experience selling into data centers is highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
  • Strong relationship building, presentation, and problem solving skills

Travel and Driving Requirements

  • Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
  • Reliable personal transportation and valid automobile insurance
  • Ability to travel frequently within the region, up to 75%

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel by car and airplane
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, reach, carry, lift, pull, and push between 1 and 15 pounds
