Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision, the CVT assists with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab. Prepares patients for procedures, documents appropriate information, interacts with patients and physicians, and performs related duties as assigned. Employee will recognize the population specific needs of the CAD, CHF, PVD, MI, UA and Angina patients and apply the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviors to meet those needs when performing patient care activities.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular technology preferred.
  • Current CVT certification preferred
  • Current registration as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred; or must be enrolled in an accredited RCIS program and/or be registry eligible; RCIS certification obtained within 24 months of transfer or hire preferred.
