We are searching for a talented Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

$15,000 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (Rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday 10 hour shifts rotating day off. On call is required 1 shift a week and 1 weekend a month

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager of the Cardiac Cath Lab or designee perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within cardiac cath lab or structural heart as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent hemodynamic and angiographic information from patient's chart and document all data within the hemodynamic system and EHR. Perform patient education related to the procedure. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies, identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images, properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality based on scope of practice. Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others. Assist interventional or invasive cardiologist in performing cardiac cath or structural heart procedures.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology and attainment of certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography RT(R) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
  • One year's experience as a Scrub Assistant in a cardiac catheterization/EP lab/Structural Heart or IR is preferred.
  • Post-primary certification in Cardiac or Vascular Interventional Radiography is preferred for Radiologic Technologists.
  • For RT(R)s, current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required.
  • For non-RTs, current registration with Cardiovascular Credentialing International is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
  • Post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Cardiac or Interventional Radiography RT () (CV) or (VI) is preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

USD $42.84 - USD $64.28 /Hr.
