Job Description

CVS Health is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Vaccination Initiative. This role is responsible for administering a variety of immunizations, including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other routine vaccines, in a retail healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while delivering exceptional patient care, educating patients, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in a fast-paced environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer vaccines including Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended immunizations.
  • Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Provide patient education regarding vaccines, side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of vaccinations and patient records.
  • Follow CDC, state, and CVS Health immunization guidelines and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.
  • Maintain proper vaccine storage, handling, and inventory procedures.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and work assignments as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Pennsylvania (or eligible to practice in PA).
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization and direct patient care.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
  • Strong medication administration and vaccination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a retail healthcare environment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous immunization or vaccination clinic experience.
  • Experience administering Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other adult vaccines.
  • Retail clinic, outpatient, occupational health, or community health experience.
  • Strong patient education and customer service skills. 

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Saturday
  • 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Approximately 30 Hours per Week
