West Point Auto is looking to hire a Service Writer.

Job Summary:
The Automotive Service Writer serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for accurately documenting customer concerns, coordinating repair and maintenance services, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, identifying vehicle service needs
  • Listen to customer concerns and clearly document issues for technicians
  • Prepare accurate repair orders and cost estimates
  • Communicate recommended services, timelines, and pricing to customers
  • Coordinate workflow between customers and technicians to ensure timely service
  • Provide updates on repair status and notify customers of any changes
  • Process invoices, payments, and service documentation
  • Maintain detailed and accurate customer and vehicle records
  • Upsell additional services or maintenance when appropriate
  • Ensure a positive customer experience from check-in to vehicle pickup

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (automotive training is a plus)
  • Previous experience in automotive service writing, customer service, or a related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems and repairs
