Sierra Executive Solutions, Inc. (SES) is a 3rd party search recruiting agency sourcing talent for an Investment client's Client Service Operations Associate position. Client company will be hiring 2 professionals in this role to support the investments and administration of this ultra-high net worth family office managing over $9 billion in assets. This is an on-site role in Reno with flexibility but is not formally remote nor hybrid. Local Northern Nevada candidates will be given preference for interview.


Our employer client Investment Firm provides investment advice and family office services to a select group of ultra-wealthy clients. The organization was founded in 2011 in San Francisco by a group of senior Goldman Sachs executives.


Job Description:

Seeking 2 full-time Client Service professionals with strong operational background to join our client's firm. This role combines client service and operational responsibilities, including supporting portfolio activity, cash management, account onboarding and maintenance, custodian relationships, and various firmwide projects. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional attention to detail, energy, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced client advisory team environment.


Please note: The dress code is typically business suits for all employees; preferred attire but not required. This employer has an office atmosphere that is best described as a polished professional environment and more formal--- which is typical of financial services, legal offices, investment and trust companies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cash movements, trade settlements, and account reconciliations across client portfolios.
  • Manage account onboarding and offboarding documentation, ensuring accurate setup and custodian coordination.
  • Support daily portfolio activity reconciliation and trade settlement processes.
  • Collaborate with CPAs to facilitate tax document requests and assist with annual tax package preparation.
  • Serve as an internal resource for systems, workflows, and process efficiency.
  • Partner with various members of the firm on special client and internal projects.
  • Maintain custodian and service provider portals, including troubleshooting access and login issues.
  • Monitor and oversee daily work items and action requests from custodians.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in back-office administrative financial service operations.
  • Applicable industry experience preferred in banking, legal office; and ideally from an investment or wealth advisory firm or other financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Professional presentation and communication skills required with a client-centric mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and interest in utilizing and leveraging AI systems (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT).
  • Technically adept with financial reporting systems and tools.
  • Experience with custodial platforms and investment operations strongly preferred.

  • This role is based on-site at the Reno office, a dynamic and professional environment.
  • Periodic travel to San Francisco office for firmwide and client meetings.


Competitive salary and a great benefit package are offered. Base compensation is budgeted up to $90K annual salary level but new hire salaries offered are dependent on experience and qualifications.
