Job description

Social & Content Manager

Unrivaled Sports is building the nation’s most exciting, community-driven youth sports brand—and we’re looking for a Social & Content Manager who lives and breathes sports culture to join our team.

This is an editorial role with creative muscle: you’ll shape the voice of Unrivaled Sports and our portfolio of brands across platforms, coordinate creator output, and craft an always-on strategy that helps millions of families feel connected to the magic and impact of youth sports.

What You’ll Do

  • Editorial Leadership & Channel Management: Lead day-to-day management of Unrivaled Sports social channels. Build platform-specific editorial calendars rooted in storytelling, community, and culture, and produce content that brings our brands to life.

  • Develop A Portfolio Approach: Create toolkits, prompts, content challenges, and recurring formats that drive consistent content from creators, tournaments, teams, and local communities.

  • Brand Partnerships: Work with brand partners to concept, pitch, and produce co-branded content that aligns with both Unrivaled Sports’ editorial voice and partner objectives.

  • Creator Leadership: Develop a strong POV on creators for Unrivaled Sports, finding and leading the execution of creator partnerships from briefing to collaborating.

  • Scaled, On-The-Ground Operations: Manage a network of seasonal interns and content contributors at key tournaments and events. Ensure creators know what to shoot, how to shoot it, and what stories matter most.

  • Community Engagement: Actively nurture our communities. Reply to comments, amplify standout moments, and surface insights around what’s resonating.

Who You Are:

  • Deeply tapped into sports culture. You track emerging voices, formats, memes, and conversations across pro, college, and youth sports—and understand how to translate them into a youth sports-centered brand.

  • Editorially minded. You think in story arcs, formats, and repeatable content structures—not one-off posts.

  • Collaborative. You can navigate a matrixed organization with ease—partnering across sports, venues, operations, and leadership teams.

  • Player-Coach: You can both create the content and scale the team around you. You’re able to build and conduct a distributed content organization, pulling in great creators, contractors, and freelancers.

Details:

  • Minimum 4 years leading social, preferably in the sports space

  • Full-time role offering competitive compensation and rewards package including health benefits, 401k program with matching, PTO and 18 company holidays.

  • Flexible (hybrid) with preference for New York, Washington DC, Baltimore, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles

  • Must be willing to travel to events and Unrivaled Sports owned/operated complexes to capture and oversee content (approx 45% of time).

  • Reports to the VP of Marketing
