Job description

Customer Development Representative

We are seeking a Customer Development Representative to support our manufacturer representatives, Regional Sales Managers, and Technical Solutions team throughout the quoting and sales process. This role will serve as a primary internal point of contact for representatives, helping manage project requests from initial inquiry through quotation, follow-up, and order transition. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organization, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and build strong working relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer and representative requests throughout the quoting process, ensuring information is complete, organized, and communicated effectively.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for manufacturer representatives, providing timely project updates and coordinating requests with internal teams.
  • Maintain sales opportunities and project information within the CRM system and proactively follow up on outstanding quotations.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers and Technical Solutions to support customer needs, identify opportunities, and provide a positive overall customer experience.
  • Coordinate projects through quotation, revisions, follow-up, and transition into the order process.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in customer service, sales support, inside sales, account coordination, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and customer requests simultaneously.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Comfortable learning technical products, terminology, and applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sense of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, commercial HVAC, construction, or industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting manufacturer representatives, distributors, or other channel-based sales organizations.
  • Experience with CRM or ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
