Job description

Supplier Development Manager

The Minority Business Development Division is looking for a Supplier Development Manger to help drive contracting and business opportunities across Ohio.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the supplier development section of the Office of Business Services.ย 

  • Support state agencies, boards and commissions with meeting and exceeding the 15% MBE set-aside and 5% EDGE spend goals.

  • Increase support to Ohio small businesses to procure with the State.

  • Maintain and oversee electronic systems, databases, logs, supplier documentation, and state spend reporting to ensure accurate and transparent supplier diversity records statewide.

  • Conduct outreach by attending events, sharing bid opportunities with certified suppliers, and maintaining strong communication with agencies and partners to enhance supplier diversity engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field. ย 
  • Previous procurement and supplier development experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include experience preparing and distributing correspondence and/or reports.
  • Expertise in MS Excel. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and knowledge of CRM products.
  • Experience in use of Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) helpful.
  • Experience with auditing reports and drawing conclusions.
