Job description

Auction Vehicle Driver (Part Time)
Growing national auto auction is seeking a Part-Time Auction Vehicle Driver. This is an entry level position.
You have the choice of working on Sales Day only (Friday Only 8:30AM - end time of 11AM to 2PM), or you can pick up more hours during the week. This is somewhat flexible based on your availability. Fridays are the minimum requirement.
Position Summary for Auction Vehicle Driver (Part Time)
Part-time Auction Vehicle Driver needed to move customer vehicles safely and efficiently around our auction property and through the auction lanes during sale days. Monday - Thursday hours would involve picking up vehicles from dealerships and delivering them to the auction intake lot.

Work Hours for Auction Vehicle Driver (Part Time)
  • Requirement: Friday 8:30AM - anywhere from 11AM to 2PM (Auction Sale Day)
  • The rest of the week (minus Friday) is flexible based on your availability
  • Monday - Wednesday available hours are 8AM - 5PM
  • Thursday (Pre-Sale Day Work) available hours are 8AM - 5/6/7PM
  • No weekends

Responsibilities for Auction Vehicle Driver (Part Time)
  • Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers at all times.
  • Always exhibit 'hands on' and direct approach with customers.
  • Assist customers with questions and/or concerns.
  • Ensure cars are parked in proper location based on run number in windshield on sale day.
  • Start every vehicle in assigned lane prior to sale time. Lift hood on all vehicles that do not start. Roll down or crack driver's side window.
  • Ensure keys are in ignition for all vehicles in your lane on sale day.
  • Be in assigned lane prepared for sale when auction starts.
  • Keep vehicles moving throughout the lane through the sale with all doors unlocked.
  • Ensure the vehicle is as close to its' original spot as possible with windows up when parking it when exiting lane.
  • Work well independently as well as a team player.
  • Timely communication of issues that may be deemed as detrimental to the success of operations to Management.
  • Pick up vehicles from dealerships, repo yards, banks or similar customer sites.
  • Deliver vehicles to the auction intake lot.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.

Requirements for Auction Vehicle Driver (Part Time)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Able to work in indoor and outdoor operational environments.
  • Need to pass pre-employment screening.
