About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead new sales generation for commercial tenant improvement projects.

You will be responsible for building relationships within the local construction industry, with the goal of creating client relationships with developers, business owners, and commercial property owners who will use Cougar Contractor's construction services.

Responsibilities

Proactively generate new sales leads by building long term relationships with potential customers, including developers, business owners, and commercial property owners
Manage a full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract close
Forecast and track sales activity and revenue
Schedule face-to-face site visits, lunches, meetings, and attend industry events with clients
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships, ensure client needs are being met and any issues are quickly addressed
Assist in development of the sales strategy, working with internal team members to ensure all aspects of the customer experience are done to a high standard
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify opportunities for growth
Support with ensuring sales targets are met

Skills and Requirements

Must have experience in commercial tenant improvement sales, or new construction sales
Ability to visit client offices and sites all over Calgary (must have a valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle)
Experience in commercial tenant improvements
Desire to pursue business opportunities and generate new sales
Strong time management and ability to create your own schedule and tasks without much oversight
Strong understanding of construction and how to sell to clients within the construction industry
Ability to create and maintain relationships with key clients
Proficiency with CRM and IT tools, experience with Hubspot
Desire to continue developing as a sales leader in the construction industry
