Job description

Position Summary...What you'll do...The Customer Data & Identity organization is enabling Walmart to better understand who the Walmart customer is. At the same time, we are ensuring streamlined processes, security, scalability, regulatory compliance and best in class customer experience.  The customer is at the heart of all we do at Walmart. The Customer Data & Identity team amplifies customer centricity by deepening the company’s understanding of customers and their preferences. When we do that, we can serve them when and how they need.   
Our team collaborates with engineering, design, legal and business teams within Walmart US and Walmart Growth organizations such as Walmart +, Data Ventures, Marketing and Walmart Connect, to create a holistic and consistent digital view of customers’ relationship with Walmart. We are seeking a Staff Product Manager – Privacy Products to join the Customer Data & Identity team to advance the way we empower internal teams with best-in-class customer data products and platform at scale. This role is designed for an individual contributor who can give shape to ambiguous and complex challenges and has a keen interest in data privacy. If you have a background in product management with a focus on privacy, and you are looking for a challenging position in a fast-paced, innovative environment, this role could be a perfect fit for you.  
You will play a critical role in our team, focusing on the development and execution of privacy and data governance-focused product suits. You will work closely with teams such as Marketing, Walmart Connect, Data Ventures, and Walmart+ to extend our Customer Data Platform offerings in a privacy compliant way. 
What you'll do:
  • Leading the development and execution of data governance-focused product strategy. 
  • Defining and communicating privacy-centric product prioritization, and timelines for the customer privacy platform engineering team. 
  • Defining clear product requirements collaborating with privacy engineering team and other Customer Data Platform teams to build privacy-improving data solutions 
  • Ensuring tools are built and scaled to support the privacy needs of internal revenue teams, such as Walmart Connect, Data Ventures, Walmart+, and Markweting. 
  • Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success. 
  • Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in customer privacy, data protection, and compliance. 
  • Driving innovation within the customer data platform while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Re-imagining how to comply with privacy regulations user’s data subject rights 

What you'll bring:
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, including proven experience in developing and executing successful product roadmaps and initiatives. 
  • Experience in building 0 to 1 platform products in user data management space.  
  • Privacy-focused product building experience such as building user-facing transparency products, preference and consent management systems or data governance products. 
  • Privacy certifications (ex. CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM, ISO) is a plus. 
  • Quantitative or technical background preferred. 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and MS project management tools. 
  • Solid understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends in retail and e-comm space. 
  • Demonstrated ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize. 
  • You are an excellent communicator and presenter. 
  • You have domain knowledge in Customer Data Platforms or data governance products. 
  • You are passionate about tackling complex challenges. 
  • You can influence and build consensus across various stakeholders. 
  • You have a strong ability to craft credible vision and strategy. 
  • You have experience in a Fortune 500 company. 
  • You are comfortable working in complex and matrixed organizations. 
  • You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving large-scale projects to completion.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
