Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Customer Data Platform (CDP) Manager to own the day-to-day administration, governance, and activation of our BlueConic CDP. This role will serve as the central connector between Marketing, Analytics, and Technology, ensuring a high-quality, unified customer data foundation that enables segmentation, personalization, and lifecycle marketing.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with BlueConic, including building segments, enabling audience-driven journeys, and governing data structures such as profile properties, consent, and integrations. This individual will also play a critical role in ensuring data reliability and usability across our ecosystem, including Snowflake (data platform) and Tableau (primary reporting layer).

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone who can balance technical execution, data governance, and marketing activation strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data collection processes and define data governance frameworks.
  • CDP Platform Ownership: Own day-to-day management of the BlueConic CDP, including profile properties, segments, consent, and integrations. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and effective connections across marketing and data platforms.
  • Snowflake & Data Quality: Partner with data/engineering teams to validate data flows between BlueConic and Snowflake, using SQL to perform data quality checks and ensure reliable datasets.
  • Tableau & Reporting Enablement: Support Tableau-first reporting by enabling consistent, governed data structures. Develop and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of data-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare and present insights and reports to stakeholders, highlighting significant findings and recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for CDP-related initiatives. Manage intake, prioritization, and roadmap of CDP enhancements. Provide training and guidance to stakeholders and identify opportunities to improve platform usage and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data collection processes and define data governance frameworks.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, IT, and other departments to align data initiatives with business goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to customer data management and analytics.

Qualification & Education Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience managing a major Customer Data Platform, BlueConic is preferred.
  • Experience as a CDP power-user, manager, or administrator role preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Product Management, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related technical is preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau,).
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, segmentation, and analysis.
  • Understanding of data integration processes, APIs, and database management.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with web and mobile data layers, tagging principles, and tools like Google Tag Manager is preferred.

Additional Skills

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Advanced understanding of matrixed organizations and comfort in working within cross functional teams.
