The CDP will enable a single view of our customers combining multiple data sources to enable operational and analytical use cases for sales, claims, servicing, marketing, fraud prevention etc. Our vision is to evolve the CDP into the ultimate data experience for product-led growth and business professionals who aren't comfortable with code. This is a hybrid position, requiring on-site presence 2-3 days a week at one of the following locations: Palo Alto, CA; Seattle, WA; Bethesda, MD; Dallas, TX.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Servicing, Sales, Fraud, Marketing, and UX teams to understand use cases and segmentation needs

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate those needs into user stories for Data & Analytics, technical, and engineering teams.

  • Help develop a comprehensive CDP implementation strategy aligned with overall product and customer success goals.

  • Identify new data sources and onboard existing data sources to the CDP

  • Evolve our identity resolution models (deterministic and probabilistic)

  • Build and run queries to answer questions and build segment and build solutions for users of CDP to be able to self-serve

  • Be the CDP subject matter expert, gathering information to create accurate, informative, and resonant user stories for both the business and the data team.

  • Deeply understand customer needs to define priorities, inspire the broader team, and deliver best-in-class experiences and enabling capabilities.

  • Help build the product roadmap, define user stories, and drive trade-off decisions.

  • Identify new products and features on behalf of the customer, leading 1-2 scrum teams to align on mission and deliver great results iteratively.

  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to measure results, inform the roadmap, and achieve benefit, adoption, and financial results.

  • Collaborate with Product, Analytics, Engineering, and Business Leaders to drive scalable data solutions.

  • Present effectively to high-level stakeholders, set clear priorities and direction, and build bridges across groups.

  • Own the product end-to-end by developing business models, defining and analyzing success metrics, and managing strategic projects.

  • Champion and educate product managers and lines of businesses on what the GEICO CDP can do for their business

  • Lead the CDP Squad in achieving strategic outcomes with solutions that are Valuable (our customers choose to use), Viable (the solution works within the constraints of the business), Usable (our customers can figure out how to use) and Feasible (our engineers have the skills and technology to implement)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and related experience with 7+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager, with 4+ years in managing Customer Data Platforms

  • Technologies for CDP PMs to be familiar with Graph and Cassandra, ADLS especially Iceberg, Snowflake, Kafka, Flink, ElasticSearch and Rosette Name Indexer or equivalent for Identity Resolution, GraphQL

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in an iterative development environment.

  • 4+ years on a CDP, Reverse ETL, Data Warehouse, or Integration-as-a-Service product

  • Alignment-building expertise - you listen, understand, and influence at a near-executive level

  • Fluency with concepts like unique identifier, API, ETL etc.

  • Data proficiency - you can source, analyze, and present quantitative and qualitative data

  • Excellent writing skills - you write clearly and concisely, favoring plain language over jargon

  • Initiative - you take ownership of problems when next steps aren't clear

  • Contribute a deep knowledge of customer data integration, identity resolution, and the related competitive landscape.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance industry experience is a plus

  • An Engineering background is a plus

  • Experience building Data Platforms


Annual Salary

$140,425.00 - $229,600.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
