Overview

The Customer/Sales Account Manager will support sales and new business efforts for OEM customers. This position involves all sales activities starting with pipeline development, internal sales pursuit process, proposal support, customer negotiations, and contract closure. Candidate must have a general technical knowledge of OEM, and a willingness to expand this knowledge into adjacent markets outside. This is an in office, salaried position. There is minimal travel required and this is NOT a commission-based role. 


Responsibilities

This individual will:

  • Maintains and manages the relationship with assigned accounts
  • Manage negotiations with respective OEM Customers as well as build relationships at the executive level.
  • Maintain and monitor the business environment for assigned accounts. 
  • Identify and cultivate new sales prospects seeking opportunities which are compatible with manufacturing capabilities to achieve profit goals. 
  • Responsible for early involvement with customers on new projects.
  • Establishes product price structures based on cost estimates and/or historical performance that will meet profitability goals.  
  • Expand outside of OEM Markets to bring in new opportunities
  • Other duties as required. 

Qualifications
  • Experience in contract manufacturing, in a sales capacity (Outside/Inside) is a plus. 
  • Experience in sales with government contractors, knowledge of FARS/DFARS and rated contracts is preferred. 
  • A demonstrated ability to identify, develop and profitably win business that is strategically important to the company.
  • Background in industrial and metal fabrication/operations is preferred.
  • Prior experience with OEM customers with complex fabrication needs is required.
