Job description


Job Purpose

The Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing customer relationships by serving as the primary owner of assigned accounts from opportunity through delivery. This role drives revenue growth by identifying customer needs and delivering tailored solutions in collaboration with engineering, operations, and customer success teams. The position exists to expand customer partnerships, improve responsiveness, and contribute to the company’s long-term revenue and relationship success. 


Key Responsibilities

Account Ownership & Relationship Management 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships to drive retention and growth 

Sales & Revenue Growth 

  • Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new business 
  • Own the full sales cycle—from inquiry and quoting through order execution 

Quoting & Solution Development 

  • Prepare accurate, timely quotes aligned with customer requirements as needed 
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to develop tailored solutions 
  • Comfortable making informed decisions with incomplete information, using sound judgement to guide customers toward the best available solution while proactively identifying and closing gaps.  

Customer Communication & Experience 

  • Proactively communicate updates on quotes, orders, and project status 
  • Ensure a high-quality, responsive, and solution-focused customer experience 
  • Professionally communicate any delays or issues to customers and team. 

Cross-Functional Coordination 

  • Partner with engineering, production, and customer success teams 
  • Support transition from quote to order to ensure alignment and smooth handoffs across departments 

Issue Resolution & Accountability 

  • Address customer concerns and remove obstacles to successful delivery 
  • Take ownership of outcomes and ensure commitments are met 

Pipeline & Account Management 

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM/ERP systems 


Experience & Technical Skills 

  • 5+ years in account management, sales, or customer-facing roles 
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technical product environments (required) 
  • Strong proficiency in CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
