Job description

Who we are looking for

A Digital Custody Strategy & Execution Lead, VP for State Street's recently launched Digital Division who has a strong understanding of both traditional assets and digital assets operations coupled with large institutional experience. The Digital Custody Operations team is responsible for assisting in the design and/or execution of the operational model for our for sub-custody and self-custody within Global Delivery teams as part of the delivering the enterprise strategy for State Street Digital. This is an exciting opportunity for an agile and dedicated manager looking to take on a leading role in building the future digital infrastructure of financial markets from the ground up.

You will report directly into the Head of Digital Custody Operations and work closely with our dedicated Digital teams in Product Development, IT, Business, Governance & Controls, Risk and Compliance plus our State Street Global Delivery and Sales teams to effectively service our Institutional client base. In addition, you will be involved in engaging with State Street Digital's external partners and vendors, from early on in the product development cycle right through to testing, delivery into operations of our new client services in approved jurisdictions.

This unique role requires knowledge of traditional investment services business operations - particularly in the areas of custody, payments, trading, securities servicing and process, compliance and process documentation - as well as a broad understanding of next generation technologies, including distributed ledger technologies (Blockchain), digital custody, cryptocurrencies, wallet technology and tokenization. This role also requires experience with business transformation and change management to help grow nascent businesses.

What you will be responsible for

As Digital Custody Strategy & Execution Lead, VP you will

  • Own the overall the front-to-back management or related processes in custody for State Street Digital including reporting, change management of processes and required resources.

  • Contribute to the delivery of our enterprise strategy for the organization as a thought partner by challenging the design and implementation of related sub- and self- custody processes, procedures and other documentation required for smooth operations in production.

  • Ensure SLAs with our internal partners meet the needs required to deliver seamless day-to-day delivery of services with periodic reviews

  • Providing regular product/service updates including risk / KPI metrics to ensure full transparency and clarity of service delivery for State Street Digital Management

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience in operations and client service for traditional and digital products for large institutions

  • Hands-on experience with digital assets and wallets / distributed ledger technology

  • Experience in change management in business transformation initiatives

  • Understanding of relevant enterprise financial technology solutions and related governance

  • Excellent presentation, communications, collaboration and influencing skills

  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders

  • Fluent in English - oral and written - is a must

  • Advanced degree(s) in digital (business or technical) - a nice to have

  • A can-do attitude coupled with a risk- and operational excellence mindset

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $181,250 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
