About the Role:ย 

As a Project Manager supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to help lead Federal R&D agency PMO and manage a team of dedicated consultants with responsibilities spanning: R&D strategy; impact measurement; strategic communications and stakeholder engagement; client relationship management; team and performance management; portfolio and project planning, execution, and monitoring; and contract management. The mission of the clients is centered upon public safety communications and emerging technology.ย ย 

Key Responsibilities includeย (but are not limited to):ย ย 

  • Lead the established and successful R&D PMO to support the clients with portfolio management, impact measurement, stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and leadership team strategy supportย 

  • Leverage the successful model of the PMO while bringing new efficiencies to the project teamย 

  • Quicklyย establish, develop, and foster positive rapport with federal government clients and partners in a professional, fast-paced, technical environmentย 

  • Manage andย identifyย efficiencies or tools to improve existing/new organizational processesย 

  • Continue and improve the quality assurance program of the PMOย 

  • Manage a consulting teamโ€™s daily/weekly/monthly activities with total quality management approach to meet and exceed all expectations while managing scope, resources, and budgetย 

  • Assistย with the logistical planning, design, facilitation, and follow-up reporting for stakeholder workshops and conferences on behalf of the programย 

  • Drive stakeholder partnerships with commercial industry, academic programs, and other government organizationsย 

  • Provide career development and coaching for team membersย 

  • Evolve into a subject matter expert and master required skillsย 

  • Spearhead โ€˜action planningโ€™ and implement new, creative initiativesย 

  • Carry out our Commitments to Deliver, Grow, and Thriveย 

Location:ย 

You will workย as part of a dynamic teamย remotelyย in Boulder, CO.ย You will work at the client site dependent on contract requirements.ย 

Required Experience/Skills:ย ย 

  • BA/BS degree and 6+ years of experience in relevant project management fieldย 

  • Experience working with R&D agencies in the Federal governmentย 

  • Comfortable working at a strategic level while leading production of high-quality client deliverablesย 

  • Previousย experience managing a portfolio of projects with a โ€˜total quality managementโ€™ approachย 

  • At least 2 years of experience managing people, including career planning, providing feedback, and performance reviewsย 

  • Direct experience working on a daily (face-to-face) basis to adviseย senior-levelย clientsย 

  • Receptive to all forms of feedback from clients and colleagues, and proactive to make changesย 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalย 

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assuranceย 

  • Skilled in problem-solving with a flexible approach toward stakeholdersย 

  • Demonstrates an unflappable attitude even when faced with changes or adversityย 

  • US citizenshipย and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitabilityย
