We're looking for a Senior Business Partner, People & Culture who thrives in creative, fast-moving environments and enjoys partnering with leaders who bring fandoms to life. If you've supported teams within a studio, entertainment company, gaming, licensing, creative agency, or consumer products organization, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping shape the employee experience behind some of the industry's most recognizable brands.

As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you'll partner across a portfolio of creative and business teams to build high-performing organizations and foster an engaging employee experience. You'll support client groups that may include Creative, Product Development, Merchandising, and Brand, helping leaders navigate everything from talent strategy and organizational design to employee relations and change management.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with executive leaders to align People & Culture strategies with business priorities.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, organizational effectiveness, and complex employee relations matters.
  • Lead workforce planning and organizational design initiatives that help teams scale and evolve.
  • Support change management efforts by driving thoughtful planning, communication, and adoption.
  • Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition on role design, hiring strategy, and creating exceptional onboarding experiences.
  • Serve as the primary People & Culture partner for our Burbank office while also supporting our San Diego team. Leaders and employees are located across multiple states.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and provide practical, compliant guidance to leaders.
  • Analyze employee engagement, retention, and workforce trends to recommend proactive solutions.
  • Partner across the People & Culture team to implement programs that strengthen talent, leadership, and culture.
  • Ensure compliance with California and federal employment laws while balancing business needs with an exceptional employee experience.

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of progressive HR or People & Culture experience, including significant employee relations expertise.
  • 5+ years as an HR Business Partner supporting business leaders.
  • Experience supporting creative, entertainment, studio, licensing, consumer products, gaming, media, or similarly dynamic organizations.
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrated success influencing leaders and driving organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience partnering on organizational design, talent strategy, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to build credibility across all levels of an organization.

Salary Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $120,000 - $150,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This on-site position is based in Burbank, CA (Monday-Thursday onsite in Burbank, Friday remote). Locals will be considered first. Occasional travel to San Diego, CA and Everett, WA may be required.
