Position: Culinary Services Supervisor - Full Time

Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA

Riverstreet Manor currently has a great opportunity for an Culinary Services Supervisor! Candidates must be able to work swing shifts as early as 8am or as late at 7pm. We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic candidates to join our exceptional team of caregivers!

Requirements of the Culinary Services Supervisor:

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED
  • Must possess a Food Service Sanitation (serv safe) certification
  • Culinary or Hospitality Degree Preferred
  • CDM Certification Preferred
  • Must have, as a minimum, one (1) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
  • Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in a nursing care facility
  • Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Culinary Services Supervisor:

  • Assist Director of Dietary with planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our Facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator
  • Assure that our Facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner
  • Make weekly inspections of all dietary functions to assure that quality control measures are continually maintained
  • Assist the Dietary staff
  • Coordinate dietary services and activities with other related departments (Nursing, Activities, Housekeeping, etc)
  • Submit accident and incident reports within 24 hours
  • Inspect all dietary areas for upkeep and supply control
  • Participate in survey's and inspections
  • Provide exceptional hospitality and communication to our residents, family members, guests and team members.
  • Responsible for carrying out Dining Services practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dining services functions in nursing care facilities.
  • Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of dining services areas; must perform regular inspections of dining service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
  • Relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
