Culinary Supervisor responsibilities include:

  • Ensures the proper provisions for creative, flavorful, nutritious, assorted and timely food and beverage services to residents, guests, and visitors of the community. This includes providing the proper and appropriate service for all meal periods, special events with food or beverages, activities with food or beverages, the proper and appropriate food and beverages for all meals, special and marketing events, and activity events and collaborate on the marketing needs of the operation while maintaining a profitable and well operated department
  • Assists the Dining Services Director in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and termination of department staff and documents and coordinates such actions.
  • Develops, implements, conducts, and documents in-service training programs that relate to the Food Service Department, schedules staff for department and community in-service training.
  • Ensures menus and recipes are written and followed.
  • Serves as supervisor on the serving line to ensure that food is displayed attractively and served properly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience of Food Service Supervision in a hospital, hotel, healthcare, or senior living environment.
