Job description

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Auto Credit Analyst to join a growing lending team supporting automotive financing through dealer and credit union partnerships. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in indirect auto underwriting, credit analysis, and loan decisioning who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing loan applications, assessing credit risk, communicating with dealers and lending partners, and making informed lending decisions while maintaining exceptional service levels. The ideal candidate has a proven background in indirect auto finance, understands how to evaluate lending risk, and can confidently review applications, analyze borrower credit profiles, and make sound underwriting decisions while maintaining strong relationships with dealers and lending partners.

Description

Daily Responsibilities:

- Log into ADP

- Review individual queue to pull up listings from dealers and credit unions

- Work on oldest file to newest

- Perform a complete review of the files, including: loan to value, debt to income, borrower history, income calculations, breaking down credit bureau reports

- Enter notes on the borrower

- Follow up with the dealer on notes and credit unions

- Most external communication is with credit union to get additional information

- Will make the final decision whether to accept, deny, or comment additional information needed on each file

- Daily Utilization of Temenos, Keystone Correlation, Meridian Link, ArcOs, Ideal, CUDL, and Microsoft Office

Internal Job Description:

- Develop relationship with credit union representatives to negotiate acceptable terms of loan between credit union and dealership.

• Communicate effectively with dealers and credit union partners regularly to build rapport.

• Review loan applications and rendering decisions within underwriting criteria and approval limits.

• Gather and review all necessary underwriting information to determine the degree of risk involved with an application, including credit bureaus, DTI, LTV, PTI, dealer risk and decision the application accordingly.

• Apply decisions in multiple loan origination systems. Adequately document decision to explain rationale.

• Evaluate second look requests based upon lending and exception guidelines (where applicable.)

• Follow up on approved applications to maximize funding ratio.

• Follow up with members and dealers to collect missing items, stipulations, or other misc. documentation.

• Accurately document and track results of outbound and inbound calls.

• Responsible for sending completed loan packages to appropriate credit unions for final funding.

• Increase overall capture % in select markets.

• Monitor dealer productivity and assist dealers to increase look to book ratios.

• Contributes to operational and departmental goals that such as turnaround times and loan volume.

• Support Operations Department such as processing and funding applications, compliance, call center, and special projects.

• Mentor and assist Credit Analyst I’s when necessary.
