About this job:
First Hospitality is seeking a Financial Applications Manager to lead and support our core finance systems and related integrations. This role is responsible for the performance, configuration, optimization, and support of key financial platforms, including Sage Intacct, Ramp, Profitsword, and connected reporting and workflow tools.
This role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT to improve process efficiency, data accuracy, reporting, and automation across a growing hospitality portfolio.
The ideal candidate brings strong financial systems experience, a solid understanding of accounting operations, and a proactive, service-minded approach to problem-solving.
This role is based in Chicago's Loop and follows a hybrid schedule of four days onsite at First Hospitality and one remote day per week. Occasional travel to properties may be required.

What you will be doing
  • Own and support core financial applications, including Sage Intacct, Ramp, Profitsword, and related integrations
  • Manage day-to-day system administration, configuration, user access, workflows, and support
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to improve close processes, reporting, forecasting, and data quality
  • Monitor system integrations and financial data flow, identify issues, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors
  • Lead process automation efforts to improve efficiency, consistency, and internal controls
  • Support testing, upgrades, releases, and system enhancements across financial platforms
  • Create and maintain SOPs, job aids, and training materials for end users
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and escalation partner for finance system issues and enhancement requests
  • Support additional finance systems, reporting, and process improvement projects as assigned
The ideal candidate for this position
  • 6 to 10 years of experience supporting enterprise financial systems
  • Strong hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, preferably in a multi-entity environment
  • Experience with accounts payable automation platforms, preferably Ramp
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, and month-end close cycles
  • Experience with financial system integrations, workflow automation, and process improvement
  • Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical system solutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to adopting and modeling responsible AI-enabled ways of working in alignment with First Hospitality's AI Vision, governance expectations, and approved use protocols
  • High standards of honesty, integrity, discretion, and accountability
  • Hospitality or multi-location business experience preferred
  • Experience with Profitsword, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or Power Platform preferred
Reporting Structure
This role reports directly to the Vice President of Field Accounting with a dotted-line relationship to the Vice President of Corporate Accounting and Treasury and the Chief Technology Officer. The role also partners closely with Senior Operations leadership on approved system and process enhancements.
