Job description

Job Summary
Procurement Specialist will be accountable for the support of CSX Company Vehicle procurement processes which will include; data collection and analysis, interrogation of multiple data sources and preparation of data to inform procurement decisions, contract negotiations and implementation of Supplier Relationship Management processes as well as managing robust communication with suppliers and internal business partners.


Primary Activities and Responsibilities

  • Partner with all supporting business functions to assist in the management of company vehicles fleet operation functions, such as, overall fleet management, maintenance vendor relationships, internal business partner assignments, short term rental, and fuel card support, with a sense of urgency
  • Develop and implement action plans to resolve identified concerns associated with company vehicles fleet operations
  • Communicate with internal business partners and external vendors while effectively completing projects and demonstrating CSXs sense of urgency in supporting company operations
  • Data input to assist on company vehicle related functions
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • Less than 1 year of experience in Finance, Project Mgmt, Investment recovery, Asset Sales

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • 2 or more years of experience in Finance, Project Management, Investment Recovery, Asset Sales, Mainframe Experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
