Job description

SAP MM/WM Consultant

CSI Companies is seeking an experienced SAP MM/WM Consultant to support the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of SAP Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM) solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This is a hands-on functional consulting role requiring deep expertise in procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics processes, and SAP system configuration. The ideal candidate will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable supply chain and warehouse management solutions. Based on similar SAP MM/WM and EWM resources found in enterprise documents.


Hours: Mondayโ€“Friday standard business hours | 40 hours/week

Location: Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN (Onsite 3x/week Wed-Fri)

Position Type: W2 Contract

Pay: $50-$60/hour


Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.


What You'll Do

  • Lead SAP MM and WM functional design, configuration, and implementation activities.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP MM/WM solutions.
  • Configure and support procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and replenishment processes.
  • Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, integrations, reports, and custom developments.
  • Support Material Master, Vendor Master, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management functionality.
  • Participate in solution design, system testing, defect resolution, cutover planning, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams supporting Supply Chain, Logistics, Production, Finance, and Distribution processes.
  • Support production issues, process improvements, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
  • Provide best-practice recommendations related to warehouse and inventory management operations.
  • Support end-user training, documentation, and post-go-live activities.


What We're Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM).
  • Experience configuring procurement, inventory management, and warehouse processes.
  • Experience supporting full SAP project lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, and logistics execution.
  • Experience creating functional specifications and working closely with technical teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex business process and system issues.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and translating requirements into SAP solutions.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with RF/mobile warehouse solutions.
  • Experience with data migration, LSMW, IDocs, or integration projects.
  • Experience within manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain environments.
  • Knowledge of Logistics Execution (LE), Production Planning (PP), or Quality Management (QM) modules.
