Job Duties:
  • Greet patients as they arrive and provide a welcoming atmosphere
  • Collect and process patient payments
  • Schedule, cancel, and change appointments within the electronic medical record
  • Collect insurance cards and photo identification for all patients, scanning and uploading them to the electronic medical record
  • Collect and process in-coming and outgoing mail
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility using the electronic medical record or insurance portal electronic verification system
  • Make outgoing calls for scheduling, re-scheduling or returning patient calls
  • Register new and returning patients, collecting and verifying all demographic information and completing accurate and detailed data entry into the electronic medical record

Requirements
  • Proficient in Epic electronic medical record, MS Word, and Outlook
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Highly Preferred
  • Large corporation experience
  • Health plan / managed care / healthcare industry experience
