Description

Arms Acres is looking for novel Peer Advocate who is ready to change lives in our licensed facility located in the Bronx, NY.  We provide outpatient treatment, with cutting edge support for those struggling with substance-use-disorder (SUD). We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide peer support services that empower patients throughout their recovery journey. The Peer Advocate will play a vital role in fostering engagement, promoting adherence to clinic policies, and supporting patients in achieving their personal recovery goals.


Schedule

Monday through Friday (10:00 am - 6:30 pm) 


Responsibilities:

1. Deliver a range of in-person support services across all phases of recovery, including pre-engagement, initiation, stabilization, and long-term maintenance and/or harm reduction.

2. Assist patients in developing and navigating their individualized recovery and treatment plans by helping them identify their strengths, challenges, and goals.

3. Encourage self-advocacy by supporting patients in voicing their needs and ensuring their goals and objectives are central to the clinical care process.

4. Conduct outreach to patients who have disengaged from treatment, including follow-up calls and coordination of appointments to help reestablish care and support continued recovery.


Sign On Bonus Eligibility for full CRPA: **2,500.00** 


Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred
  • Must be a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)
  • Must obtain CPR certification within six months of hire.
