What You’ll Be Doing
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other flow-through entities.
  • Lead and manage tax projects, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Analyze client data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams, articulating complex tax concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering growth and technical development.
  • Stay informed on current tax issues and agricultural industry trends to provide proactive advice.
What You’ll Need for This Position Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience.
  • CPA eligibility/license preferred.
Technical Expertise
  • Strong background in tax compliance across multiple entity types.
  • Experience in tax return preparation and review.
  • Tax project leadership/management and supervisory experience.
Core Competencies
  • Digital fluency, including ability to learn and navigate CCH Axcess Tax.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20% annually).

Pinion offers a competitive compensation and excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401k/profit-sharing, paid time off and holidays, flexible work arrangements, and paid parental leave.

Compensation:

In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000 - $145,500.
