Job description

Carmel, IN based financial holding company is currently searching for a staff accountant in our Accounting/Finance department. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with strong analytical skills who can work effectively within the framework of established company, GAAP, and regulatory guidelines. The candidate will be responsible for various types of accounting and finance for all entities within the holding company structure including real estate investment, captive insurance subsidiaries, banking activities, and development activities. This position will be primarily responsible for the following:


โ€ขMonthly and quarterly trial balance reconciliations for various banking related entities

โ€ขPrepare monthly property financial statements

โ€ขPrepare quarterly consolidations and financial statements

โ€ขUpdate audit schedules

โ€ขPrepare monthly reports for Asset-Liability Committee

โ€ขPrepare quarterly financial board reports (ratios/compliance/etc.)

โ€ขAssist with quarterly regulatory reporting

โ€ขAssist Senior Accountants and Management as needed

โ€ขOther projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

โ€ขBachelorโ€™s Degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related fields

โ€ขSolid computer skills and experience using Microsoft Excel

โ€ขExperience with real estate or banking a plus

โ€ขAbility to work independently and as part of a team

โ€ขManage multiple competing deadlines including internal and federal reporting
