Job description

General Summary:

Hands-on Data Engineer / API Integration Developer to help build and support modern data pipelines, system integrations, automation workflows, and internal web applications. This role will work across business systems, cloud platforms, databases, APIs, and AI-assisted development tools to deliver practical solutions that improve operational visibility, process automation, and enterprise data flow.

The ideal candidate is a builder who can move between data engineering, API development, workflow automation, and application prototyping. This person should be comfortable using Python, SQL, PHP, n8n, Snowflake, AWS services, and AI-assisted development tools to rapidly develop, test, and deploy business solutions. Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a strong plus.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines between enterprise applications, databases, cloud platforms, and internal systems.
  • Develop API integrations between ERP, CRM, service platforms, third-party applications, and custom internal tools.
  • Build and maintain workflows using n8n and similar automation platforms.
  • Develop scripts, services, and lightweight applications using Python, PHP, SQL, and modern web technologies.
  • Work with Snowflake to support data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and reporting needs.
  • Support integration with cloud AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock and related services.
  • Assist in the development of internal AI-enabled tools, workflow automations, and business process applications.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools and vibe coding practices responsibly to accelerate development while maintaining quality, security, and maintainability.
  • Build and support web applications, internal portals, dashboards, and integration interfaces.
  • Partner with IT, finance, operations, sales, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Create reusable integration patterns, documentation, error handling, logging, and monitoring for production workflows.
  • Assist with data quality, data profiling, data mapping, and source-to-target validation.
  • Work with authentication, authorization, and identity platforms such as WorkOS or similar tools.
  • Support integrations involving ERP, CRM, service management, eSignature, document automation, analytics, and AI workflow platforms.
  • Troubleshoot production issues related to APIs, ETL jobs, workflows, databases, and application integrations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Python development for data engineering, API integrations, automation, and backend services.
  • Strong SQL skills, including querying, joins, stored procedures, data validation, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML, and other integration patterns.
  • Experience with PHP or similar backend web development languages.
  • Experience building workflows or automations using n8n
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
  • Experience working with AWS services; AWS Bedrock experience preferred.
  • Experience building internal web applications, portals, dashboards, or business process tools.
  • Understanding authentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth, SAML, JWT, API keys, and role-based access control.
  • Ability to use AI-assisted development tools effectively while still understanding, validating, and securing the code produced.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, databases, APIs, and workflow automation tools.
  • Ability to document technical designs, integration flows, dependencies, and support procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Orchestrator, AIS, business functions, tables, or JDE integrations.
  • Experience integrating ERP, CRM, service management, billing, AR, AP, or financial systems.
  • Experience with Oracle databases, Microsoft SQL Server, or other enterprise relational databases.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, ELT/ETL patterns, and analytics enablement.
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock, AI agents, vector databases, RAG patterns, prompt engineering, or AI workflow automation.
  • Experience with WorkOS or other identity/access management platforms.
  • Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, containerized applications, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, or similar web application frameworks.
  • Experience working in a mid-market enterprise environment with a mix of legacy systems and modern cloud platforms.
